Gender, climate change and health: pathways to action in the Western Pacific Region

Overview

Climate change is a public health crisis with deeply gendered consequences. Across the WHO Western Pacific Region, rising temperatures, extreme weather events, food and water insecurity, displacement and environmental degradation are affecting health in ways that intersect with existing gender inequalities, creating disproportionate risks for women and girls while also shaping the health and well-being of men and boys.
